Houston/Phoenix/Dallas/New York – Tony Batman’s A Entertainment News – It has to happen eventually, no matter how good we are at anything, we can not stop the sands of time. Our friend and one of the most decorated feature entertainers in the history of the industry, Christina Aguchi has announced her retirement. Read our monthly “Oh the Places you will go with Tony Batman” column and our “Good-Bye” to the Gooch below… This column appears in print magazines across the country, the column seen above is from this months Hot Spots Houston and Quest Arizona magazines
This month I would like to take time to honor one of the most decorated Feature Entertainers in the history of Feature Dancing, Miss Christina Aguchi aka “The Gooch”.
This month we say “Happy Retirement” to our leader of the famed A-Team, my favorite stage co host, and one of my best friends in the adult industry, The Gooch broke all the records that Feature Dancing had to break, she won all the contests, at least once, and some of them even more than once, but the best memory of her career that coincided with mine on a weekly basis for the past 9 year, the best thing about working with Christina Aguchi is the fact that she really “Cares”, not stage cares, not to your face cares, but she is real and she will be missed by the entire Feature Entertainment Industry.
I first met Christina Aguchi in Los Angeles at a movie release party, I remember talking to her and her telling me about her doing the Spearmint Rhino Entertainer of the Year contest, and asking if I wanted to come and see her show. Gooch won that contest, and after both of us finding our best fit in our diverse industry, we both ended up living in the Southeast within a year or so after that. She competed in most of the major dance competitions in the country, I hosted them, so we spent a lot of time together and it was easy to see her dedication for being the best feature that she could be….
I hope for nothing but the best for the Gooch in her next chapter of life, I am hoping I can still have her on the A Entertainment News team in a behind the scenes role.
Here is the retirement post that Christina wrote when she said goodbye on January 1 2016.
I don’t know how to say goodbye, because I feel that I will never be able to let go, the best that I can do is tell you farewell for now. Through the happiness, and sadness, the laughter and the tears, I’ve learned to stand when no one is listening, and accept defeat when I am beaten. I’ve learned the power to love those closest to me, and forgive my enemies. Most importantly, I’ve learned to become a leader, against all the odds. I’ve given 9 years of my life to my industry, and if I had the chance to do it all over again I would gladly do it and wouldn’t change a thing. I can’t believe it, the years have flown by so fast. I don’t like to look at it as retiring, im just moving onto a next chapter of my life. This industry has taught me that not everything in life is clean cut and clear, there are gray areas that we have to look closely to see. People in this business will only give you as much as you are willing to give to them. But the good thing is, you will always know where you can stand in this business but you can never fathom the endless possibilities of where you will be if you give it 110% everyday! The millions of faces who I’ve made a part of my life after all these years, thank you for motivating me to excel and give it my all. To the managers and owners, I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to showcase what I can do and what I love to do every weekend. To the countless guest who shows up night after night, you are my ammunition and my reason to smile on stage. To my DJs across the world, always remember, you have the toughest job in the club; you are the backbone and the heart of the night. If he music doesn’t play, and there’s no one to operate the rotations, and no voice on the mic, the whole operation wouldn’t function properly. To exotic dancer, I cannot say enough or show enough gratitude for your love and support though my fall and rise…..you watched me grow and your unconditional love will stay with me forever. My publicity team, Batman, Plat, Gentx, Excitement, Quest, Extrme, PANDA…..without you there will be no me.
And finally to the girls………..always remember, push each other everyday to be the best that you can be. Don’t perform only for the moment, but build that legacy that will last a lifetime! Work hard play hard, be you, and dance like there’s no tomorrow. I love you all!!!!
