Free Speech Revolution Interview With Kelly Skyline
by M. Dickinson
1) How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started? Have you had fun in the industry?
I have been in the industry since July of 2007. I started out dancing at GoldClub Centerfolds in Rancho Cordova CA, we would have pornstars come feature dance at the club every two weeks and after talking to a bunch of girls I decided I wanted to try porn. I contacted my sister-in-law, Trina Michaels and shadowed her for a week and then contacted an agency and here I am. I absolutely love my job so yes I have been having lots of fun in the industry.
2) Are you concerned with the rights of the adult industry to make and produce movies/web clips?
No I am not concerned with the rights of the adult industry to making and producing movies/web clips because I believe that as long as it actually is getting put out there I am still getting paid.
3)Could you talk about what it is actually like on a set, as far as having ID, signing model releases, having a AIM test, etc? Have you seen or heard of anyone in the legitimate adult industry knowingly using minors in films or the web?
I have only heard of people that used minors who were using fake identification but once they found out they were underage they pulled all the content off the shelves and would redo the movie cutting out that clip. The companies are a lot better about checking idetfication nowadays.
You have to have at least two forms of identifiation sometimes three. Once on the set you sign your model releases saying you are of age and your doing this film on your own will, then they check your “AIM” test. You can’t just go to anyplace and get a test, it has to come from AIM or TTS. They take photos of you holding your ids by your face then they photocopy your ids.
4) Do you ever get offended by shows like South Park or Family Guy? What do you think about shows/writing that offends people?
I love Family Guy and South Park, so no they don’t offend me. As for the people who get offended get over it because its not like they are focused on one group of people, the shows writing makes fun of just about every kind of person out there.
5)What do you think about some of the stuff that pushes the limit in the adult industry, stuff like Max Hardcore, Kink.com, JM Productions?
I am a big fan of kink.com, Max Hardcore, and JM Productions but I won’t shoot with them because I cant handle how hardcore the scenes get and I wouldn’t be able to give them 100 percent.
6)Have you ever been asked to do a scene or something on film that you thought was crazy and wondered if it was offensive/legal? What was it? Did you do the scene or the act anyway?
I once was asked to do a scene where I needed to pee on a girl but I couldn’t do it, I have nothing against people who do those scenes but I didn’t want to get peed on so I wouldn’t pee on her.
7) Why do you think America has such a fascination with sex and with regulating sex?
I think they are so fascinated with regulating sex because we are trying to make everything “family friendly”.
A lot of people in the industry have told me that most the people in the industry don’t care about protecting free speech, or really about anyone other then themselves and their money.
Do you think this is true? Do you think a lot of the people that are new to the industry care or have any concern about free speech and protecting the right to make movies?
I honestly don’t think that most of the people new to the industry even think about the fact that the right to make movies can even be taken away, all they know is they are coming into lots of money very quickly.
9) Is the “character” you play in your DVD’s anything like you in real life?
I try not to play a character because it’s so much easier and it looks better if you just be yourself with a little intensity.
10) What is the craziest thing you have done/or scene you’ve been in on camera?
I just did the “College Invasion” through Shane’s World out in Kentucky last year. It was a lot of fun, basically what happens is you go to a frat party and you do a scene with one of the frat boys who got tested.
11)Have you been involved with trying to change people’s opinions about the industry?
The only time I have tried to change peoples minds about the industry is when my family found out I was a performer and they were uneducated about how the industry actually works.
12)Why do you think the industry is so caught up on the portrayal of
young- a lot of DVD’s always say “18 & 19 years old” etc?
I know that the girl next door/teenage is a huge market for porn and I think it is because so many people could see themselves with someone like that and its not like in a feature movie where they feel they could never get a “girl like that”.
13) What is your website?
I am working on my website but it will be http://www.kellyskyline.com
14) Anything else you want to say:
I just want to say thankyou to all my fans, you all rock!!
