Hustler’s “Sex, Drinks, & Rock N Roll Freedomfest” A Success
Hustler Hollywood’s “Sex, Drinks & Rock’n’Roll Freedomfest” to benefit the Free Speech Coalition (FSC) was an unmitigated success, according to FSC Membership Director Joanne Cachapero. The event was held Wednesday night at the world famous Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood, Ca. The packed event drew a mixed crowd of adult industry celebrities, mainstream entertainment personalities, fans and curiosity-seekers.
“We want to thank Theresa Flynt and the team from Hustler that worked so hard to help the show go on, and the folks at the Whisky for making it a very special night. Thanks to all sponsors, performers, staffers and volunteers,” FSC Membership Director Joanne Cachapero said. “Wonderful people that helped make this fundraiser a great success.
“It was an awesome evening that brought together the adult industry community with a diverse crowd of party people, fans, new friends and fun. The FSC wants to thank everyone so much for their support and participation, because you guys rock! We could not continue to provide services and legal advocacy for the industry without the support of our members, and it’s wonderful when we get together to celebrate and promote adult entertainment.”
FSC netted just over $8,000 from the event; those contributions will go to fund daily operations and special projects for the trade association, which provides services and resources for the adult industry, legal advocacy, lobbyists in Sacramento and Washington, in addition to efforts in the areas of anti-piracy and workplace safety.
Freedomfest guests enjoyed sex toy demonstrations from Topco Sales, Screaming O, Sportsheets, Adventure Industries and XGen Products. Adult video clips played on the big screen (provided courtesy of AllAmericanAV.com), from studio sponsors Hustler, Wicked Pictures, Evil Angel and Adam & Eve. Screaming O also hosted a blow job contest, and packed gift baskets from all the show sponsors were raffled to lucky winners. Media sponsor AVN provided a star-studded red carpet and media wall.
The show was co-emceed by VH1 “Rock of Love” star Ambre Lake and A! Entertainment’s Tony Batman. Adult industry celebrities that appeared included Sasha Grey, Nina Hartley, Sunny Lane, Kayden Kross, Karen Stagliano, Angelina Armani, Evan Stone, Joanna Angel, Nicki Hunter, Bobbi Starr, Chayse Evans, Kristina Rose, Monica Mayhem and Wicked Pictures contract performers Jessica Drake, Alektra Blue, Kirsten Price and Mikayla Mendez. Voyuer Media director Jack Napier kept the party vibe bumping with his skills as the event’s DJ.
Also in attendance: Adult celebrities including Tommy Gunn, Mark Davis, Kira King, Lori Lust, Vanessa Blue, Misti Dawn, James Deen, Claudia Valentine, Mr. Marcus, Laurie Vargas and Cleopatra of the Nile. “Married with Children” star David Faustino and Joey Buttafucco also were on hand, and rockers LA Guns joined other guests in the festivities. The evening was capped by a hot, loud set from band Bolt Action Thrill.
“The energy at the party was so amazing,” Cachapero said. “All of the performers that participated in the show were completely professional and very generous to give of their time. I have to give special thanks to Tony Batman and Ambre Lake for pulling the whole stage show together.
“Everyone got their money’s worth and then some,” she added. “Everyone had a good time and it was a very glamorous night. Nobody throws a party like the adult industry, and it just goes to show that when we come together as a community, we can accomplish positive results. Can’t wait to do it again next year.”
The Free Speech Coalition is the national trade organization to the adult entertainment industry. Its mission is to lead, protect and support the growth and well-being of the adult entertainment community.
