Rachelle’s Road to Expo Part 2 – Blondes And Bibles
Hello again! Thanks for joining me as I chronicle my trip as a first time Entertainer of the Year Nominee and all the craziness that I seem to attract in this wonderful world of featuring. The nominations are announced and the fun begins!
As you may or may not know…in addition to my solo gig as a showgirl…I also perform with Gia Nova in our duo act BLONDELICIOUS. Not only is it fun to travel the country with this super hot blonde chic…she’s also my best friend so we seem to get ourselves into the most peculiar situations. I am honored to say that my sexy, sweet, best friend has been nominated as CLUB OWNER FAVORITE. All of the voting for the awards are online starting July 6th at www.edpublications.com YOU decide who wins the awards….so if you have become a BLONDELICIOUS fan; then remember us when your voting for ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR and CLUB FAVORITE. We are both in overdrive to get ready for Vegas! We were asked to perform our duo act on Wednesday August 26th at the ED sponsored party which is also the finals for the MISS EXOTIC PAGEANTS; costumes, choreography, photo shoots, and promoting were now on the agenda.
So…the day after the nominations were announced; Gia arrives in the traveling van and we are ready to take off like the blonde, busty, gypsy’s that we are for our show at ERVS LADIES AND GENTLEMANS CLUB in Allentown, PA. We love this club and had a blast the 3 days we were there. We were able to do some shopping for our costumes, practiced our show , and designed our new business cards…that was just day 1. Which brings me to the Bibles….yes bibles! After our show on Saturday night…we are tired, hungry, and not looking forward to the drive home in the morning; so we go to the local diner to refuel and talk about some show ideas. Its 2am…we just finished performing so we were in full makeup but after 3 high energy ,sweaty shows…we were not trying to look sexy or cute. We had eaten there every day and the manager and waitress had become fans. On our last night they asked for some promo pictures and we were more than happy to snap off some shots and sign a few 8×10’s. (They gave us free cake…I’m a cake whore so you offer me cake or chocolate and I’m yours.)
As we are standing at the register saying our goodbyes we hear this creepy voice behind us proclaiming “You are sinners! You must repent! You are going to hell!!!” WTF?…Gia and I look at each other and slowly turn around to see a couple dressed in full church attire, drunk as cooterballs, & holding their bibles as if to ward off the evil permeating from our bodies. Remember it’s 2am …so I assume they had one of those all night get togethers where a lot of alcohol was presumably consumed. Now other than a little cleavage, we looked pretty normal. But they were outraged that we “strippers” and “evoking lust from men”…I felt obliged to tell them that from the makeout session I had with the hot Italian chic the day before…I’m pretty sure I evoked lust from women too. We did our best to ignore them but as we were trying to leave; they followed us out. Now… in a normal religious zealot harassment situation we would have just waited in the diner until they left; but I knew this was gonna be good…so out to the van we go… the man is waving his bible at me and saying how I will rot in hell for performing sexual acts with another woman! (Damn…was he peeping in our windows too?) I look and don’t see Gia…oh boy.
..Now…if any of you have seen one of her shows then you know of her famous “grinder” act. She wears a metal plated bra and uses a power tool to create these bad ass sparks. Well… all of a sudden Gia appears from the side of the van in all her smiling, calm, blonde splendor, brandishing her grinder which is on full force….I’m not sure if there were any words exchanged; but the bible crazies took off…and because of all the excitement…we went back in the diner for more cake.
