The agreement places Harmony Films’ titles in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo. The distribution deal will initially bring “Claudia,” “The Initiation of Nikki Jayne,” “The Hacienda,”"Young Harlots: The Academy” and “Tanya
Hyde: Maison Erotique” to Zauder Film’s territories.

“Zauder Film, as the largest distribution company for adult films in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, has been searching for a partner that produces movies with high production values that are visually appealing,” Zauder Film Sales Manager Mark Bedekovic said.
“We think that our deal with Harmony Films will be extremely successful and our customers will recognize the quality of Harmony Films’ productions. Titles from Great Britain were not available before this, so this will generate interest on the part of our customers as well.”

LAS VEGAS — In a city known for its decadence where stiff drinks are served, sin is on the menu and scantily clad babes saunter poolside, Adam & Eve and Zero Tolerance delivered on all fronts. The two companies teamed up to throw lavish parties over the weekend at the Palms Resort & Casino to celebrate the upcoming release of “Roller Dollz.”
The action kicked off Friday night inside the Palms’ Grand Ballroom where more than 300 invited guests mixed and mingled with the movie’s stars. The ballroom was transformed into a live-action roller derby with a mock bout between the Baker Babes and the Sin City Roller Girls. Go-go girls dancing on skates to the deejay’s fresh grooves added to the party’s freewheeling vibe. Red-lit light gobos bearing the Adam & Eve and Zero Tolerance logos added to the evening’s spectacular branding.

Outside the ballroom, model-like cocktail servers passed out shots of absinthe in test tubes to guests as they walked into the expansive ballroom that was dressed to give it an industrial feel with metal scaffolding complemented by private cabanas. Delectable desserts made the rounds as industry executives, “Roller Dollz” stars and invited Palms high rollers took in the evening’s celebratory vibe.

Last weekend’s festivities marked the second summer in a row Adam & Eve has come to the Palms to celebrate the release of a big-budget blockbuster. Last year, the company threw a lavish affair for “Eden.” Both celebratory weekends were organized by former Adam & Eve Vice President Peter Reynolds. Reynolds now owns and operates Plaid Bag Media, a content licensing firm.

Continuing the effective cross-promotion, four stars from “Roller Dollz” — Kayden Kross, Bree Olson, Courtney Cummz and Alektra Blue — were featured in two music videos for the Mother Truckers, an Austin, Texas-based roots-rock band that licensed its songs “Let’s All Go to Bed” and “Dynamite” for use in the movie. Reynolds arranged the cross promotion after seeing the band perform at the South by Southwest music conference.

The “Roller Dollz” celebration continued Saturday night as the adult and mainstream worlds collided at the Palms pool for Jimmy’s Naughty Nightie Night party. A yearly pajama party thrown for the casino’s high rollers, Jimmy’s was the perfect opportunity for invited guests to meet the stars of the movie.

Dressed in silky chocolate-colored pajamas, invitees had the full run of the Palms’ high-class pool and cabanas. A live reggae band played perfect summertime jams as a throng of civilians crowded the Adam & Eve and Zero Tolerance cabanas to meet the assembled starlets who included Kayden Kross, Sunny Lane, Roxy Deville, Alektra Blue and Courtney Cummz.

Adult-branded elements of the weekend included specially designed room keys, poker chips, blackjack tables with both Adam & Eve and Zero Tolerance logos in addition to the “Roller Dollz” teaser played on the casino’s big TV screens.

Lane, a former ice skater, told XBIZ that she particularly enjoyed working on “Roller Dollz” because she got to play the bad girl for the first time.

“This shoot was so much fun for me because I got to do everything I love — act, skate and have sex!” an exuberant Lane said. “It was great working with the rest of the cast too because they are all very talented. [Director] James Avalon is a dream and we all just had a lot of fun making the movie — and it shows. I’m having a great time celebrating with everyone tonight.”

Reynolds was particularly pleased with how the weekend turned out. He spearheaded Adam & Eve’s promotional and co-branding efforts at both events and told XBIZ that he received a congratulatory text message from Palms owners Joe and Gavin Maloof.

“The ‘Roller Dollz weekend was a home run,” Reynolds said. “Our customers had a totally unique party weekend and left with a lasting impression of Adam & Eve, Zero Tolerance and ‘Roller Dollz.’ As an added bonus, both companies benefited from serious branding with Palms guests and specially flown in high rollers from across the country.

“From the ‘Roller Dollz’ tour bus parked in front of the hotel all weekend to the room keys, blackjack tables, casino chips, ‘Roller Dollz’ trailers playing throughout the property and signature Roller-tini cocktails, the Palms Casino Resort became all things ‘Roller Dollz.’”

 DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Iowa doesn’t have any all-nude strip clubs — but it does have performing arts centers where women dance naked.

However, the loophole in the state’s public indecent exposure law that allows nude dancing at “art centers” is under attack in the small community of Hamburg, a town of 1,200 just across the Missouri River from Nebraska.

The case pending before a Fremont County judge effects only one business in Hamburg, but if he agrees with the prosecutor, it could eventually threaten the legal standing of nude dancing clubs across the state.

District Judge Timothy O’Grady heard arguments in a one-day trial on July 17 and took the case under advisement.

It all began on July 21, 2007, when a 17-year-old niece of Sheriff Steven MacDonald climbed up on stage at Shotgun Geniez in Hamburg and stripped off her clothing. Owner Clarence Judy was charged with violating Iowa’s public indecent exposure law.

Judy responded that the law doesn’t apply to a “theater, concert hall, art center, museum, or similar establishments” devoted to the arts or theatrical performances.

“Dance has been considered one of the arts, as is sculpture, painting and anything else like that. What Clarence has is a club where people can come and perform,” said his lawyer, Michael Murphy.

Murphy noted that the club has a gallery selling collectible posters and other art, and it provides patrons with sketch pads.

Nonsense, said Fremont County Attorney Margaret Johnson, an underage girl danced naked at the club, and that’s illegal.

“Are you saying that minors can’t be protected? Can a group of 12-year-olds come down and go in and dance nude and it’s OK? I don’t think that’s what the Legislature had in mind when it made those additional provisions,” Johnson said.

Johnson said the intent of the law is to allow movies in a theater where there’s brief nudity or for an art gallery displaying paintings of nudes.

Murphy said Judy bans anyone under 18 from entering the five-year-old business. The problem, he said, was “a group of girls snuck in a 17-year-old.”

“While she was there, she felt like dancing so she got up and danced on the stage and then she took her clothes off. Trouble with that is she’s the sheriff’s niece,” he said.

Johnson denied that the teen’s relation to the sheriff was connected to the charges filed against Judy.

Her parents were absolutely appalled with the situation,” Johnson said.

The sheriff declined to comment. There was no comment from his niece, whose name wasn’t given.

As part of his defense during trial, Murphy cited a 1998 ruling that found nude dancing is a form of art. In that case, the owner of the Southern Comfort Free Threatre for the Performing Arts in Davenport was charged under the public indecent exposure law for allowing nude dancing. A judge found owner not guilty.

The current case deals only with Judy and Shotgun Geniez, but there could be an appeal if either side loses.

Johnson said that would take it to the Iowa Court of Appeals and perhaps the Iowa Supreme Court. That would make it a statewide case that could affect dozens of other clubs in the state.
